Corporate Community Commitment

RMI Cares: Putting people first has always been a central part of Resource Management of Western New York Inc.’s commitment to service. From cleaning up roadsides to starting scholarships, RMI has followed through on a community service initiative “RMI Cares” set in 2011. To date, the RMI Cares initiative has touched on many lives through a variety of ways. Some of the most prominent ways RMI Cares has impacted the community have been as summarized below.

Adopted Highway

Adopt a Highway
2011 - Present

Resource Management of Western New York, Inc. believes in keeping Western New York beautiful. In 2011, we adopted our very own stretch of New York State highway (Route 429) running through the heart of Sanborn, New York. It is on this stretch of highway that RMI gets to demonstrate a small portion of its commitment to the community by hosting a friends and family “RMI Cares” cleanup day 4 times a year.

Scholarship

2012 - Present

In 2012, Resource Management of Western New York, Inc. became the first private company to sponsor a “safety scholarship” to be presented during the scholar luncheon at the Safety Conference. This example of RMI innovation led to the expansion of scholarship offerings at the conference with 4 additional companies presenting scholarships the following year.

In 2012, Resource Management of Western New York, Inc. became an annual supporter of the Western New York Safety Conference held in Niagara Falls, NY. This two day conference is dedicated to promoting, educating and advancing health and safety in the work environment as well as for the general public to help reduce injuries and illnesses in the Western New York area.

Cradle Beach

Since 2012, Resource Management of Western New York, Inc. has partnered with The Buffalo News in sending employees to Cradle Beach to assist with The United Way “Day of Caring” days held at the summer camp. Cradle Beach serves the needs of children with disabilities and those who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Cradle Beach provides a healthy environment and organized activities to promote socialization, self-worth, and decision making, in an atmosphere of love and acceptance.

Resource Management of Western New York, Inc. provided a $1000.00 season sponsorship to the Susice Motorsports Inc., family race team. The “Safety Car” was used throughout the season to highlight motorsport safety in a fast and family-friendly way.

School Supplies

School Supply Box
2013

In 2013, Resource Management of Western New York, Inc. responded to a public appeal from schools in the City of Buffalo School District requesting school supply donations. RMI sent a case of school supplies valued at over $250.00.

Swim for Sight

The Olcott, NY Polar Bear "Swim for Sight"
2012 - Present

Resource Management of Western New York, Inc. provided a $250.00 pledge to support company personnel in the formation of a 3-man “Polar Bear Swim Team”. The safety team successfully completed the challenge and raised money for the Olcott, NY Lions Club.
